Extramedullary spinal cysticercosis.

چکیده

Cysticercosis is the commonest parasitic infection of the central nervous system (CNS) [ 11. According to the areas of involvement it can be classified as: (a) meningobasal, (b) mixed, (c) parenchymal, (d) intraventricular, and (e) intraspinal [2]. Isolated primary intraspinal cysticercosis is a very rare manifestation of this usually multifocal parasitic disease. We are reporting a case of cysticercosis that presented isolated infestation of the spinal subarachnoid space.
